How can you help?

1. Contributing to Water Conservation

• Put a large bottle of tap water in the fridge to save waiting for the tap to run cold
• Put your dish-washer and washing machine on with full loads and an eco setting if possible
• Turn the tap off while brushing your teeth
• Take shorter showers instead of bathing
• Install water-efficient taps and showers to minimize heating water

2. Contributing to Waste Reduction

• Use a reusable water bottle/cup and grocery bags
• Purchase wisely and recycle products that can be recycled based off programs in your area
• Compost! Your fruit and vegetable scraps, egg shells, coffee grounds, grass clippings and leaves can all be composted
• Avoid single use food and drink containers/utensils
• Shop local farmers markets and buy in bulk to reduce packaging and waste

3. Contributing to Reforestation

• As simple as planting a tree if you have a garden or small patch of land. Every tree matters
• Donate to organizations and tree planting projects like Just One Tree, Amazon Watch, and Conservation International
• Volunteer with local orgs that plant trees!

4. Contributing to Ocean Cleanup

• Dispose of trash properly rather than carelessly and reduce, reuse, and recycle whenever possible
• Organize or participate in beach, riverbank, or land cleanups with friends, family, and neighbors
• Make a donation to The Ocean Cleanup
